NEW: Moonlight Ride (11 Sep 08)

What happens when you start out at 19:30 this late in the season? You don’t get very far into the forest and it is pitch black. And we were on the very technical track #36, which could have been very dangerous. So we didn’t get very far, took a few photos, and rode back with the help of our tiny bike-mounted lights… GPS Data shows only one way.

I left the photos unaltered so you would get a sense of how dark it was at the half-way point. Tim is a better photographer than I am as the photo I took of him is very blurry.

Sunday ride (7 Sep 08)

An unusual Sunday ride with Tim, unusual also because the GPS could not acquire the signals for the entire ride, so you won’t know where we went ;)
It was almost a regular P7-Champlain-Meech ride, except we took on the challenging climb of track #1 at the end. Also had a severe chain jam, but luckily Tim was able to help me fix it. Some nice photos taken with the brand new Casio Exilim EX-S10 extra slim digital camera which Sonia bought me just for this purpose.

Mud, glorious mud! (29 Aug 08)

Long and strenuous 45 km trip to the fire tower and back, under the rain. This was the first ride in the rain and in the clouds I have had a chance to do. Tracks tend to become a little slippery; no sharp turns allowed!
